This "politics of personal destruction" is the results of mean spirited conservatism. The new wave of conservatives came to Washington to enforce their type of destructive morality. Well, it sure looks like they were successful. Perhaps the voters, in 2000, will remember what the conservative Republican "hitmen" attempted to do to our democracy, when they tried to overturn a democratically elected President.
