Hello Goalie

Some interesting reading here.

resopp.stockscape.com

I also found the following sites have information which has some significant implications for the ongoing exploration of the Slave Craton and continued interest in NWT diamond plays beyond next year.

Perhaps the most fascinating is the data suggesting that the Slave Craton is unique in the world and may well be over 250km thick. In addition, that thickness may extend well east of Yellowknife. In layman's terms, that means that the prospective ground for economic kimberlites now realistically extends across the entire width of the Slave Craton and to some degree, beyond (at least to the west). There is some doubt as yet as to whether it includes the northern portion of the craton (and Victoria Island) due to possible effects of the Mackenzie Plume 1.2by ago, however, that is only supposition at this time.

For those following the Ontario plays, it may also be worth noting that it would appear that the measured Craton under Ontario is very roughly +/-.6 as deep as the Slave Craton before the Moho appears to be present.
