I don't think the last split did me any good either - it seems like it just slowed the stock movement down, although it's hard to say if it had any effect on long term movement. It is pretty "affordable" to small investors at current levels so I don't know what good a split would do.

I second your post. I hope DELL does NOT split for a very long time. I would be perfectly happy to see the price go to 200 without another split, a la Microsoft. The last split killed the stock, and the higher the price the more the volatility anyway, usually upwards.

Come to think of it, I'm sure we wouldn't mind DELL trading at Berkshire Hathaway's price, without any further splits! <VBG>
