Kash,

<I suspect large OEMS are averaging in the $200 range and tier 2's are probably in $300 range.>

Why do you suspect this? Indications are that AMD is not going to ship much of 500MHz speed grade. Do you not believe this?

The lowest pricewatch price on the 550s, which is supposed to be the volume part for the quarter, is 466 (500s are at $264, 600s are at $639 and $650s are $913). Based on the retail data, even assuming a 30% discount to retail for overall ASPS (i.e., may be 10-15% discount for distributors, 20-30% discounts for smaller OEMs and 40%-50% discount for major OEMs), I find it tough to make a case for ASP lower than $300 (even assuming a relatively weak speed mix of 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, 0.1 for 500/550/600/650 MHz speed grades)

Can you elaborate your thinking?

Chuck
