Michael - Yes, With Lu doing the work. <eom>

I'm curious about where you confirmed this....I think I first read this rumour from LindyBill (my apologies if it wasnt) over on the G&K thread and it has now popped up on every Q message board across the Internet. I still havent seen any analyst reports, industry journals or even financial newspapers speculating on this. I'm afraid that it will be like Siemens buying the handset division....nothing more than a rumour.

I guess I am a bit sceptical since I cant imagine an overlay without a dual-mode CDMA/TDMA phone. Without this, T would nearly have to overlay huge areas all at once instead of piecemeal. I guess they could rely on analog (CDMA/analog) as a backup but anyone who bought one of these phones would spend almost all of their time on analog instead of digital....thus losing almost all of the features that they paid for. I guess I hope the rumour is true but need to see more evidence (if I came to believe this, I would be buying like crazy)....
