Superintendent Randhawa of the RCMP reports
Today, investigators from the co-ordinated law enforcement unit have executed
search warrants at the offices of Starnet Communications International Inc., at 425
Carrall St., Vancouver, B.C., and at the residences of six of its directors and
officers.
Law enforcement agencies assisting in this investigation include: the RCMP
commercial crime section, RCMP integrated proceeds of crime section, RCMP
high-tech crimes unit from Ottawa, Vancouver Police Department, members of
the Coquitlam RCMP detachment, West Vancouver City Police Department, and
the Delta Police Department.
The offences being investigated include illegal betting and bookmaking, making
agreements for the purchase or sale of betting or gaming privileges, providing
information intended for use in connection with bookmaking, possession and
distribution of pornographic material, and possession of the proceeds of crime.
Starnet Communications and its subsidiaries have been under investigation by
CLEU investigators for over 18 months in regard to illegal gaming and the
distribution of prohibited pornographic materials over the Internet. Investigators
have determined that millions of dollars flowed through Starnet-controlled bank
accounts each month as the result of its Internet-based gaming system.

Call my dumb, but...

I only own 300 shares at $14, but I am holding. I believe the company will retain attorney representation and be back in business by Monday. I believe that all the websites are still running. I don't have all the facts, but my gut tells me that SNMM will either be at $zero or back in the teens by next Friday.

The shorts have won this round. Were you short based upon 1) valuation, 2) expectations of this raid, 3) all the crap that Claude Levy was posting or 4) some other reason? I would like to "learn from the pros" or did you just get lucky?
