SF, thanks...it always makes me a bit nervous when i see insiders selling, but considering the stock's performance a little profit taking is perhaps not too much of an issue.

regards,

hb

insider selling is almost always a positive - insiders exercise options and make a huge profit, and they immediately sell some stock to pay taxes for downside protection - otherwise they could pay taxes, if the stock price goes down, that were greater than their profit

Cost of living & housing in SD not high relative to Silicon Alley, West LA or Orange county. Q employees moving here have been at best minor influence on prices. This has always been a top location to live.

Q employees selling are doing what one would expect - they invested much effort, stock wandered along for years and now they have big gains and want to live a little. It's called the American Way and the history of all top tech firms like MSFT, INTC, CSCO, and all soon-to-be Gorillas.

Today's price will be cheap come about November'99!!!!!

Perhaps you should take the insider trading as a sign that there may be a long series of BIG deals coming up and they may be in the lockout period for a long time. Then they would want to take out enough to pay taxes and living purchases for the next year or so. they were locked out for a LOOONNNGGGG time on the ERICY deal. And alot of them had to make up the LWIN tax hit by themselves.

Many of them are simply building their estate and trusts out while they can and diversifying the portfolio so that they are not 99.995% invested in Qualcomm with almost no other holdings.
