Gottfried, The last few weeks I have been looking at the DW Leading indicators, the sectors downward movement, DW charts of bpasia, bplati, bpeuro; the SEMI orders as compared with the 1997 orders, shipments; BTB the comparison the trailing EPS with price; my sector chart graph going back to 2/16/98; IBD Industrial Price ranking movement toward 62 (it has been very violatile since July); the past absolute low AMAT prices from 1991; the percentage decreases of 1995 and 1997 cycles of 60-62% percent from their highs and a IBD lowering of the RS to Thursday current level of 84 and an accumulation of "C".

Add this together with the analyst physiological choice of again looking at the glass half empty rather than half full and their tendency to let the stock drop and them downgrade further after they have sold as in past years I decided to obtain some cash for future flesibility. Yes AMAT is an excellent stock but I chose the flexibility. Hope, I figured right.

Plus, my wife wanted me to have enough money for the downpayment on our house since I was 120% invested two weeks ago. Our wife's can be very influencial<vbg>

Just my $.02.
