Robert Barry, I think people get abortions for many irresponsible reasons. And my personal opinion is that gender selection is the worst of many. And I'll tell you why. In gender selection, the parents have made a decision to have a baby and kill it if it is not the gender of their preference. So, to me this is premeditated murder. Where as becoming pregnant because of irresponsibility, and having an abortion would be equivalent to reckless manslaughter. OK, Which is worse? 1)premeditated murder 2)reckless manslaughter Neither one, is a good thing to do. But in a court of law, which would be more likely to be punished by the full extent of the law? Can you see my point now?
