The shipping charges are reasonable (I think). I recently paid $70 to have a 9' x7' rug shipped from NYC to Atlanta.This was a particularly heavy rug (most rugs of this size would weigh less than 40 lbs, while mine weighed nearly 70) It was professionally packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Even with shipping factored in, I still saved 30% over retail. The seller had photos posted on the site and the rug was even nicer in person. I recommend (as X did to me) that you deal only with sellers who have a posted transaction history with favorable comments from buyers.
