Obviously that is a much tougher situation. Personally, I would never abort a late term fetus. Once the fetus is completely viable from the standpoint of being able to survive on it's own, the issue becomes very murky.

I don't believe in late term abortion, but to be honest I have waffled on this issue. I have changed my mind a couple of times. the problem is that I can see both sides and can have more empathy from each perspective when it is that late in the process.

I guess I keep coming back to the fact, that there are not many reasons(outside of medical) why the abortion couldn't have happened at an earlier stage in the pregnancy.

Neocon, I don't even remember how I got dragged into the previous discussion in the first place. I made what I thought was a benign reply. And the next thing I knew I was being jumped from all sides. It's a hot topic that I really don't like to get into because I know it's going to turn into a battle that isn't going to be settled. And so I thank you for always being a gentleman in your replies.
