Simply put, I add whenever there is a sharp drop absent of bad news. Such as what happened on the 18th. I "loaded the boat" (margin) the next morning, and sold (too early) today. I sell due to 2 reasons: 1. Don't like margin. 2. I get too Q heavy. That is just for short term. taxes are also another consideration. I hold the core for a long time.

I live for volatility though. Your risk tolerance may be much less than mine. Which is probably very good.

You must have enjoyed the rise from 23. Enjoy it, savor it, don't pee on it. Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.

Let's say that Q splits again. Your cost basis is 11.50. Q goes to 100. 10x is not bad. (rough math) Very rare, very good. Very few can say that. I have to constantly remind myself to not "outsmart" myself.

On the other hand, any additional shares bought now, with your average price at 23, well, that is hard to beat also.

I'm shooting in the dark here. Just my two cents. I'm sure others will have some good advise.

Congraduations, and happy trading!

What are your buying strategies?

I have sold all of my LU, INTC, WCOM, MRCK, PFE, JNJ and I can't remember what else and bought more Q over the last few months. Now all I have is JDSU, PMCS, MSFT, CSCO, NTAP, CNXT and QCOM. All of these stocks are doing great, and on an ROI for 1999 QCOM is in third place in my portfolio (I waited too long, I know!)

So what do I do!?!?!? Sell MSFT! Holy smokes!

I don't have no stinking buying strategy!
