You bet it hurt!! But it got rid of the infection, and my eardrum healed up fine..

What bothered me was not the pain, but the fact that the doctor lied to me!! You see -- perhaps you didn't ever have cause to notice this -- those "light dealies" used to have a little spring with a hidden needle in them, and when you pressed on a button near the handle, the spring would sprong and out would pop the needle -- zap!

Now, I had had my eardrum zapped before, so I knew about the needle, and I made the doctor promise not to zap me again. He swore up and down he was just going to take a peek, and then -- ZAP!!!

Such perfidy....<g>
