Luc, vol. stinks for quite some time now, and still prices are moving higher.i admit we may have seen option related manipulation to some extent today, but the bond has rallied again, and when even tiny rallies in bond prices ignite stocks the way they did lately, it's time to re-assess the situation. the low volume is typical for august and the market continues to exhibit a characteristic that has accompanied it all year long: when bond prices fall, stocks essentially go sideways in a consolidation pattern and when bonds retrace some of their fall, we get monster rallies. all the while the threshold at which higher yields hurt stocks moves more and more upwards.
