Just received the September/October Issue of Foreign Affairs today. The lead article is DOES CHINA MATTER?
by Gerald Segal who is the Director of Studies at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. This is apparently their website.

isn.ethz.ch

The essence of the article is that China does not matter as much as our leaders would make us believe. Not economically (despite what the CEO's are saying), not militarily (the military leaders have bloated claims), and not politically (the political leaders are needlessly bending backward to appease her).

I could not find a website of Foreign Affairs. (Do not try the obvious; you can guess what you will find there <VBG>)

There are many other good articles in this issue. A discussion of European military union; an analysis of the so called Third Way of Tony Blair. Shows that I have not
kept up too well as I just learned that Anthony Giddens is the brain behind this. I have read Consequences of Modernity, in which he shows himself to be an English deconstructionist.

Few other articles to which I have not gotten to yet.
