INTC highest strike price for an August option is 80. Also volume of INTC options for this months is much, much less than DELL's option load. DELL had the options equivalent of about 35 M shares of stock expire worthless this month.

Thus the shorts covered first and then stock hedging the put and call options was dumped on the market at 45 per share by the professionals to make sure that the bulk of the options expired worthless.

With options expiry out of the way for the month, DELL should be able to rise in price to somewhere below 50 per share.

The FOMC may provide some fear on Monday and Tuesday. After that it the market situation will become clearer.

Re: "What is Intel's PE? what is dell's?"

Not sure of your point? But mine is to increase share holder value by lowering PE through less shares outstanding along with improved earnings. An announced buyback would give that a start. It is one of the things that IBM does effectively and Intel.
