The things I like most about Intel's future are: 1) in the server space Intel is no longer so dependent on MSFT, 2) folks like IBM and SUN are tripping over themselves to cannabilize their business by moving from a proprietary platform to an Intel one, and 3) if Barrett is right 90% of the servers needed for e-commerce have not been sold yet. There's a lot more mileage yet. HL

Of course holding through "bad times" was made easier by the knowledge that we were holding one of the best managed, most significant companies in the world. For the most part, "the bad times" were merely momentary glitches misinterpreted by bears with narrow vision. Any change in Intel's long term prospects during the last few years has been for the better. The road to the future is paved with silicon....much of which will be the Intel variety <gg>. FF
