Yes, this is goodness. High-risk goodness, but with a huge reward if they can execute on it. Micro$oft: whacha gon' do when anybody can download a functionally equivalent version of your bloatware (minus some of the bloat) for FREE???? Buy some more TV stations and art collections? Add another 200MB to Flight Simulator?

Just imagine combining this with cable, DSL, thin clients, and huge secure servers.
