Michelle, I'm afraid the story is exaggerated. GWB did not strangle the cat, but only roughed it up a bit. Those there say the cat was motioning as if it were about to raise taxes.

I believe that "cat story" was taken out of context. Apparently, the person who heard the story third-hand was a square boomer. As the story was relayed by a second-hand observer, a beat poet from the village, to me, george strangled a "cat" for his rendering of Ginzberg.
