Intel ranks right up there with microsoft in terms of being accused of heavy handed business dealings. Even people in the media bash intc all the time. Normally I would consider the rumors suspect but I figure with intc there are so many, there must be truth to them.

I consider myself totally responsible for the better than expected speed distribution by AMD, since I bought a K6-3-400 only three months ago -- this, of course, guaranteed that Athlon 550's would be plentiful in just a few months.
