In defense of Merrill and Henry Blodget, both recommend that an individual place less than 10% of their portfolio in pure net plays.

You left out the part about the 50-75% pullbacks, setting new price targets well below where you originally made the recommendation, picking NTKI over AMZN (pre-Blodget), etc.

BTW, some ML brokers are pretty smart about the internet after having gone through Bruce Smith and Jon Cohen prior to Blodget. And to think that ML still doesn't give its brokers internet access at the office.
