"...Jus' so's ya know...." I scootered up to downtown Chicago Wednesday evening and helped Tom set up for his tap-dance with Don Baillargeon. We wolfed down a meager dinner in-process, while I was brought up to speed on a number of issues. It may interest ya'll to know that Tom is one of those rare fellows who can look in the mirror and really see himself, even when he might be modeling for "..bonehead of the week.." (re: the Canadian financing fiasco). Boy, do I know that feeling..!! Suffice it to say "..lesson learned.."; and, subsequently the Financiers have received a personally-crayoned Hallmark from Bart - giving them specific instructions for the care of their undergarments..!! :-) When I reflect on what's happening with this company, I get this mental picture of Danny Devito and Arnold in the process of getting ready to go on a month long camping trip with Pamela Anderson and Elvira..!! Of course, we're much more professional than that (vbg), but you get the drift..!! And, before Scoobey bashes me over the head for being just a tad goofy; I have two daughters (13/11) and a grandgirlie (5) who have given me permission to be "..absolutely silly.." - because they like me that way. So, "....nyaaaaaaaaah...."! For those of you deprived yayhoos, who never had the pleasure of watching Captain Kangaroo, in color, at the motel, while your parents tried to get ready for that day's vacation drive; a little cartoon show was usually included. Having met Tom, and worked late into the evening downloading and configuring - I now feel worthy of the pseudo-moniker Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog. We had cables, connections and software slung all over the tables, for a while there. (The stuff ya gotta do to get a "free meal"..., geeeeesh!) You can guess who Tom Terrific is..!! Manny will remain the Hammer, "Jorj" will be promoted to of the Jungle. Scoobey is forever Scoobey, and I'll have to "tag" the rest of the crew as I meet 'em. When they finally do the documentary on this outfit, they have to bring in the Disney animation crew and call it Space Connect or eJam. John :-)
