I think amazon is going to kill etoys eventually which is why I don't own etoys. But this year is hard to say. etoys did 30mm all last year so they are a pretty small fish.

Having said that, their setup of "all childrens stuff" is nice and in some ways is better than amzn. You can go to etoys and search for the cookie monster and get cookie monster toys, then the bookstore area has all these sesame st books and finally the baby stuff with cookie monster on there. Amazon doesn't have things set up that way and only recently have I discovered there are advantages to etoys' "all children" site. Amazon might have the same kids books but you have to go through regular books to get them. Also all the babycenter stuff Amazon doesn't have at all, so for now etoys is viable. I think etoys is going to 90 by december so their valuation doesn't concern me. But long term amzn will take their space I'm thinking.

A huge event last week was that implosion of toysrus.com. By the time toysrus gets going these guys will have the mkt share. Some people think online mkt share doesn't matter I realize though.
