It seems to me that if AG wants to raise rates he will need to do it next week. Even if Y2K is a non event, will he want to risk further jarring the markets in October with another rate hike? I am amazed at the number of intelligent people that I know who are very worried about Y2K. At the very least, people are stocking on bottled water, extra food, firewood and extra cash. The Fed will not to add to this problem. IMHO, Debra
