The data on website iee.org.uk was posted 25/09/98.

If you have data re: embedded systems that is at least as reliable as IEE numbers please point the way or post a url.

If it is private or proprietary please sanitize it and post.

Otherwise your comments are heresay. The word "hubris" describes the tone. "Trust me. I know more than you do," may work for the non-critical thinkers. Some of us, sceptics by nature and training, like to hang our conclusions on something more substantive.

But frankly the information you provided in an earlier post re: paper producers and HON sounded more anecdotal than substantive (which may not be the case.)

For example when you wrote:

>>>I've talked at great length with HON, the source of so many of the embedded systems that seem to make so many people nervous. Having seen so many of the systems' code, I am not going to do more than take the usual precautions one does before a major storm that may knock out the normal flow to which we are all so accustomed and by which we have been spoiled...<<<

What HON provide to you...other than verbal assurances?

Do you have a programming background as well?
