Thanks Keith...sounds like Kramer's shorting AOL these days...I read the whole article and I am still very much unconvinced about MSFT's power over AOL...

1. Free MSN will mean busy signals, slow connections, and limited hrs usage.
2. AOL has a community based mostly on kids, and their parents...these kids refuse to let go of their AOL accounts...I have about 50 friends on AOL and about 40 say their kids won't ever let go of their accounts...that's good enough for me.
3. It's not so much that AOL offers anything better than MSN, it's just that AOL got the customers first, and kept growing...that's why MSN never really went anywhere...no one jumped ship...I'm positive free internet won't make them jump ship either...most people on AOL would feel out of water without an aol.com address.
4. E-commerce just keeps growing...AOL is one huge billboard...sponsors will pay more, and the revenue will only grow bigger as the Christmas season approaches...
4. DSL is growing faster than cable...I have bellatlantic.net...I waited for my cable company to offer cable modem access...it's been 3 yrs and still waiting...by now it should be obvious that cable companies care alot more about selling cable TV than they do selling internet access...AOL chose the right path(once again).

All in all I would say that article was a cool deal for short term shorters, but when the numbers start to roll, they better cover and cover fast...The gorilla is hungry and come the holidays, it will have a ton of bananas thrown in its face!
