We are complete opposite... I fully expect the lights to be on Jan 1 for most areas with just rolling blackouts here and there. You need to understand this "pipeline" better that you are underestimating.
Do more research on the various "domino" theories out there.
My concern for Y2K is by feb, or march we will be in big trouble.
Example- when the little GM plant went on strike awhile back it took many months for it to effect my brother in laws plant.
This will be far far more serious with thousands of failures across the country AT THE SAME TIME and will be very serious.
Panic on Jan 1 is important but a very small piece of the puzzle.
