Thanks, exactly the sort of anecdote that I like to hear.

The rules of investing say that one shouldn't fall in love with a stock. Some here know that I got a bit committed to Agouron and Sibia, and that I've only got a couple of real heavy breathers left.

I'll stick with my thesis..... the rest of the world is crazy on the market pricing of GLIA....... that trading should halt for a brief period, allowing us to get rid of the crazies and skip right over the 30s at reopen.

Stock is being punished for success....... if GLIA were in Boston, sporting no approved product but with -P in pivotal trials and -T/N, -A, and 2331 in clinical testing, they'd command roughly this market cap. The company reaches sustained profit on the back of -L, and the entire investment community goes blind.

Oh, well. The company is upgrading its drug discovery capacities. Maybe that will get Janssen moving? Really disappointing that GLIA/Janssen have been barking up such an interesting tree for such a long time, and that JNJ has been slow to observe the gem in-hand.

I'll be very interested in watching the properdin applications as described in the EPO (WO?) disclosure, and I'm really going nuts wondering what the heck they're doing with glycine transporters.

Cleveland has a little gem. Recruiting versus South San Francisco, Boston, La Jolla and Seattle is going to be tough..... maybe some of our friends in the Yahoo! thread can help get the ball rolling and start to put together a promotional brochure, describing the benefits of life in Cleveland for young scientists, the best regions for schools, etc. From what I know, I'd work for Brunden any day.

Go Browns!
