Brian, your post on Turkey was thought provoking. We all go through life on our merry way, rarely giving thought to the suffering of others. I get so many calls from people and organizations looking for money, but I figure you have to draw the line somewhere. I turn almost everyone down except for the several charities I give to regularly .

Sometimes, though, an event takes place which is truly mind boggling. A massive earthquake in an area with inappropriate construction is almost too much to imagine. You are correct when you say that Most here on SI are by most standards well-off and have the resources to contribute something. I just dropped a check in the mail, and I'm sure your post prompted scores, hundreds, thousands??? of others reading SI to do the same. The internet sure is a powerful medium.

Which reminds me, from this time forward, every chip which goes into the internet, whether it's CPU's, routers, modems, PDA's (in the future), cable switches, telephone switches, memory chips, you name it, will be made with a CYMI laser. CYMI has held up unbelievably well in this correction. Once the weakness subsides, I expect CYMI to lead the way higher, a lot higher.
