if mkt goes down, 103 tgt price.
worst case is 97-100.

don't forget we have october.. usually a bad month for the market. patience is a virtue.

i sold my ge at 118.. failed to re-enter at 105 because i was playing the internet stock rebound

ge is going to fill the gap at 113.75 and then we will see what happens.

GE is a great company, but ALWAYs look at the market. last year with asian crisis, csco was 50% down from highs. it was the market that changed, not the company itself.

for long term, i prefer mutual funds...

all my opinions, and not a recommendatoin to buy or sell.

There hasn't been a downside year since Jack Welch took over as CEO in the 1980's
He has tenure until end of 2000, then he will be replacing himself with one of his clones.
There are several in the stable

You can't really compare past performance (Before Jack) because GE has not had as dynamic a leader IMHO
