Flatsville, thanks for taking the time to respond to my post regarding alternative "compliant" suppliers next year.

I agree that there may be some problems with non-compliant suppliers that may result in product shortages or higher prices, but IF we assume that the lights will stay on and the water will flow, do you feel that these shortages will be so severe that we should stock up on all the materials that are suggested here? ie. food, water, generators, lanterns, batteries, toilet paper etc. etc.?

This is not an argument but a question: If some of us are 100% certain that there will not be any problems with the utilities (hydro and water) next January, what sort of precautions do you think we should take now because of these possible shortages, that we could not take next January and February.
