EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING. The legality of internet gambling needs to be cleared up. Obviously most of us think if gambling is legal in a certain state or province then it should also be legal in that state or province over the internet. SNMM's legal troubles may go a long way in clarifying this issue and facilitating growth of the industry.

Just remember that if government tries to block gambling over the internet then gamblers can bypass the internet and just dial in direct with their modem. So it is impossible or very difficult to ban. I believe I've read of internet casinos raided in one area just turning on their servers some where else.

And remember that internet casino margins are 2 to 3 times those of the brick and mortar.

Of course, I don't know the specifics of the SNMM case. They could be crooks.

Meanwhile I'm holding on to my ELOT and INLD. Thank God SNMM was too expensive by the time I found out about it. Anyway, their model of selling internet casinos to whoever has the $$$ may be flawed. A few trusted, brand name gambling websites will be imperative, at least initially, to lure in skeptical gamblers.

I guess we could have seen this coming as the Mr. Levy imbroglio was hardly how reputable businessmen conduct business.
