My superficial understanding of the Halliburton relationship
is that they are over priced, under talented, lazy, stupid
arrogant and greedy. Hmmmm, have I left anything out?
Admittadly I'm extremely prejudiced; as they cost me a lot
of money with their handling of Adda's Cottonwood, Luman
and now, RIP, Daniel.
As you mentioned, they look all the worse with Schlumberger's recent successes in reduced cost in drilling and completion.

Gerald,

Thanks for the help. I would imagine one of the reasons you listed is the cause of the problem.

Where is the evidence that they are getting better cash flow from any well? Gerald, please show me where? That isn't price driven, not volume?
