Hell, no! Too overcrowded with people who have money and little else to recommend them. I used to enjoy Amagansett--during the week, of course, not on weekends--but it too has gotten to be a bit much.

Now, I head for the northernmost part of the White Mountains, Montana, the WA rain forests--you get the idea.

As for resorts, think of the Kona Village Resort or--better and a personal favorite--Petit St. Vincent.
