I understand the desire for peace and quiet, but that is what a place like Sea Isle, on the Jersey shore, is for. I know that although I manage to devote quite a few weekends to trips to Washington and Baltimore, there are lots of things it is difficult to get to without actual vacation time to draw upon, and I presume the same is true in New York, especially living in Brooklyn. I will say, though, that your descriptions sound intriguing...I can already say this much, that barring emergency we will be up in the week between Christmas and New Years...
