17th Most Visited ... Interesting. They spent a lot of money on advertising after their IPO. Most of it was "branding type" advertising. I wonder if this says something about the worthwhile value of advertisng off-line for destination Web sites. There story sure sounds good to a Web user. Whether someone stays loyal after visiting 'cause of the ads is another question. I wonder how much of the spike in their visitation is temporary 'cause of the advertising. Or maybe people will stick with their them as their portal of choice once they use the site and get used to the concept.
