Pose,

My thoughts are based only on speculation and opinion. First, I did ask one of the JVs last week the exact question. I was told then that they were confidant that they could control the well and drill deeper. How an open hole with two zones exposed of different pressure can be controlled is beyond me - however I have been told it can be done.

My sense of the game is that casing now would be for production. S&P indicated that casing and drilling with a smaller diameter bit would be difficult. If we could produce two zones without water and good rates I would be satisfied. To me the bird in the hand is worth ten in this bush. The risk of loosing this well now would freighten the hell out me.

So, how would it be done. I think they would first flow test the bottom zone. Them move up and flow test the top zone. Then based on the results make a production decision.

Bob

Morning Poseidonas,

<<In your opinion what would be the stage of events that would take place, if the well is cased at this stage and put
into production. (i.e. produce 2nd sands until depleted, then 1st sands until depleted, then drill out deeper... etc...).>>

By the time the first two sands are depleted, Pose, you'll be too busy with your grandchildren or too old to care. (gg)

Seriously, If the Berkley well shows there are several more productive zones at ELH, they would eventually apply for a permit to drill another well next to the Bellevue 1-17R to produce those deeper zones. That is what I expect.

Have a good day.
