Lots of good companies, but you need to start doing some serious detailed analysis to figure out which one are which. The mid-cap are undevalued, less likely to go under, likely to get acquired, etc.. A safer speculation.

Decent small caps: Aurizon, IAMGOLD, Richmont, Pangea, Rio Narcea, Viceroy. Manhattan Minerals ($US100M) is a great company, check out that topic and Claude Cormier's post.
