Thread, I've been sitting here studying and pondering over some interesting put/call data and here is what struck my attention (BTW, I don't track this data regularly until recently so my observations may be a bit basic)... As of last Thursday: -put/call ratio for everything was about 0.67 -put/call ratio for S&P 100 (OEX) leaps was about 17.5 -put/call ratio for S&P 500 index opts was about 1.4 -put/call ratio for the Dow was about 2.4 Can anyone comment on this data. It seems there is quite a divergence. The index options look to be biased to the bearish side while the equities favor the bullish side. I am aware of the fact that index puts usually outnumber index calls but the OEX leap information really has me puzzled. Does anyone that tracks these statistics on a daily basis perform any analysis that may be useful in explaining any of the above? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Chris
