Carolyn, The influx of new people means good news for the internet, not so much for AOL. Many people start with AOL and then move to a local ISP once they figure out how overpriced AOL is. The ONLY reason I use them is that I need to know what the investor Sheepeople are being fed and what the Sheepeople think. I really think AOL stinks, they censor and harass people then never reply, just give you an endless run around.
Also, steve lower case either doesn't know what is going on at AOL or he is a heartless look good (RE:Littleton). No matter which it is, what it is, is bad business. Any company that does bad business goes down the crapper sooner or later.
RE: AOL counts. I pay for "unlimited" use of AOL but get booted off all the time if I don't watch my puter screen like a hawk. Is that a free page hit for AOL and their search engine each time I sign back online? How do they get away with selling something that is not unlimited as being unlimited? How do they harass and censor paying members and never answer for it? I don't think they will get away with this crap on cable.
I think steve lower case is making a mistake going into TV, they won't get to run things like they have in cyber world.
AOL stinks.
