MNI, from what you explained to Charles about your definition of elitism, I can understand that there can be many misunderstandings because of language differences. My understanding of the word "Elite" is very different than the way you described it. I appreciate being able to see it from your perspective.

MNI, I think the great leveling of egalitarianism would cause mediocrity to rise and inspired thinking would decline. There needs to be a body of people who are learned and have understanding of the human condition making decisions for their society. Prior to this barbaric century we had aristocracies and monarchies making these decisions. This whole democracy thing is a rather new and novel idea, we'll see how it plays out. I suspect it will lead to tyranny.
