Jock, please excuse me for this 'neophyte' type question...What's the real significance to LSI's bottom line by having programmable chips? It sounds to me like having programmability is where SOC's are going to be headed in the future but can anyone quantify the impact of having this capability? I mean what's it really worth to LSI and it's revenue and earnings? It sounds to me like it's just another bell and whistle LSI will be able to offer their customers.

I mean, with LSI's CDMA chip, we all have something really exciting to look forward to (IF LSI can execute in a timely manner). The market is huge and growing at a monster pace. An investor can quantify the potential. FPGA just seems like another one of the cool things LSI is capable of doing.

Or am I missing something here?
