An Observation About the "New" SI...... I realize in advance that this is the wrong thread, and probably the wrong crowd, but the following certainly qualifies as a feeling. A very strong one to be sure. First it was "cookies" - I got the feeling that most people were opposed to them and management probably knew it. Then it was "banner ads" - I remember a thread from management (or I could be wrong, who knows) regarding comments about it and got the feeling that it was undesired by those posting to the thread. Management starts a thread about wondering what SI members would like to see in the way of improvements on the site. Several comments were made. I don't remember seeing any prior mention about changing the site from its present format to the now "New" one when comments were being solicited. Well, guess what, we've got changes. We also get a "New" SI. One which has been overwhelmingly opposed to from what I've seen. Hey!! Aren't ya'all glad we've got such an abiding management. And just think, we will soon be able to designate an "ignore" option among other things with regard to members. We even get more "tools" which I doubt the majority of people will use regularly let alone know how to. (Which one of you is going to explain them to me? Never mind, I won't use them anyway). You know (and I don't mean this in a personal way really, I'm just pissed!!), it sure is good that Go2Net knows it has a bunch of "do nothing bullshitters" for posters, cause God help 'em if those posters were ever smart enough to organize and make management listen to their wants verses bemoaning the usual regular phuking!! Yeah, I'll take it, but I damn sure won't like it. And I'm powerless cause a few single voices ain't ever going to be a worry to Go2Net!! End of public feeling. (Privately, still seething)
