POG does look interesting. Thanks bdog. POG is selling below book value. I'll take a good look at it. I had asked Miles to take a look at the XNG - AMEX NATURAL GAS
timely.com

...and the conversation moved to looking at stocks within the sector:
"Stocks in this index" - found at the bottom of the chart.

UPR is an XNG - AMEX NATURAL GAS index member and is seen as a value play by several analysts, conservedly setting 12-18 month targets double and higher today's price for UPR. The stock has been recently featured in Barron's, Forbes and Individual Investor. It's not exactly an undiscovered play <ggggggg>, but it certainly hasn't fulfilled its potential yet. This is a nice investment type play, and not a daytrade.

Natural gas vehicles are being used more and more worldwide. In Japan, for example, where pollution is a serious problem, natural gas vehicles will be the predominant mode of transportation. Expect Europe to follow suit unless electric battery technology offers a better solution.

Even in the U.S. it is expected that natural gas vehicles will become more popular and abundant. Look for alternative fuel vehicles to be introduced here in the next model year as LSVs - Low Speed Vehicles, to be used to get around town, pick up the kids and do errands.

OOPS, I forgot that this is a TA thread. :-)
