Slacker, Agree with your post, but Thornley made the comment .86 knowing previously about the shortages. The word "prolonged" is the key.

Regards,

Mp

Component shortages: they didn't have Sulpizio in Japan if the problems were trivial. Granted that management indicated he was there "on other matters [as well]", it's an issue. Allocation as to other handset vendors (not even necessarily CDMA, as I think someone on the thread indicated that shortages were SAWS, filters and amplifiers, or the like), cost, delivery times, let alone working on new design.

slacker, the sales and marketing numbers caught my eye as well. Recall that management, as of the end of May, said Q3 numbers already matched the EPS estimates. The quarter was in the bag, and there was no need to spend heavily on the glossies that are now appearing as the Thin and pdq begin to roll out.

In addition, back to the old G&A, as the MOT suit heats up and Milberg joins the employee "class action" fray, more discovery time, motion practice, and legal begins to be a hit again. As Gregg says, "...it's never easy..."

Best regards. Steve
