These grudges have existed for at least a couple of hundred years; it was amazing and heartening to me that the Greek government offered support. Twenty years ago, I saw more than one educated Greek national cringe and even spit at the mention of the mere possibility that Turkish people could be civilized. Individual Turks, perhaps, but never the people/nation at large. Devils all. It was astounding to see this attitude in ostensibly literate people.

Brian, I think it is important that people show compassion. Your points are well taken. I appreciate the perspective. I also think it is important to reflect on issues but I sure wouldn't want our thread to turn into a forum like the examples you posted. Back to Brinker. Can Bob get a call that doesn't ask him to explain his position re: a bear market? This is back to the old days of "...I own this mutual fund. What do you think of it?" I still firmly believe that some will not follow Da Brink's call, even some subscribers. It will take serious guts. People can talk but when it comes time to push the sell button things can change.
