Shut Up and Lay the Pipe!
Then they Can be different.
Then we can Talk.<g>

Well said, as usual, impristine. Good to hear from you again.

The pipe is being laid, as we speak. There are physical and technical limitations, but it's pretty much a given this can and will take place, and I think the total number of houses passed will be something like 60m upon completion.

Market penetration then becomes key. Does ATHM sign up 10%, 20% or 30% of those homes? Marketing expertise and literally "building" demand and educating the consumer are critical here.

Lastly, impristine, I don't believe the market will wait for build out completion before demanding the AOL/ATHM/ATT union take place. Each company has suffered significant declines in shareholder value as a result of this confrontation, and the longer it goes on the more the eventual outcome will be discounted in the marketplace. The time for the giant egos to suck it up and do what needs to be done is now, while there is still value in their respective companies.
