Position Trading

The company I have been doing some consulting for over the past 4 months has offered me the position of Director of Operations, starting September 1. From that point on it is unlikely that I will have any opportunity today trade, or post here intraday in any regular fashion. however, since I will be switching back to position trading, I am reqorking my screens specifically for that purpose, as there are other on this thread that do a great job of posting the IPO's, daytrades, and next day watch lists. Sorry for the inconvenience of those who email/pm me intraday, but hopefully I can get back to fulfilling some of the original objectives of this thread and still have viable intraday advice from the regulars.

So what did you fish uP/

Something as intresting as a HD that is more powerful that my P3 for less than a P3? Heard that the US will put export restrictions on the Sony Playstation-II since its almost 3 times as powerful as a P3.. That means the chinese wont be able to enjoy DOOM2100!!!! YA!

Dual Processors for Higher Performance Built with the latest in 3.3V 0.25 micron semiconductor technology. The Maxtor proprietary design incorporates both a high performance Texas Instruments DSP (Digital Signal Processor) that controls the actual disk functions (servo, reads and writes, ECC, etc.) and a Maxtor designed 50 MIPs RISC processor that is optimized for storage I/O and is dedicated to processing host commands.

The Maxtor DualWave controller provides over 170 MB/s of potential data transfer capability. This means that a Maxtor disk drive with DualWave can sustain 66 MB/s of data transfer to and from the host while transferring data to and from the disk at up to 400 megabits per second, and provide expansion for future disk drive products.

The Maxtor DualWave controller has the ability to support 2 MB of cache, assuring improved read and write performance. In addition to supporting larger buffers, the Maxtor DualWave supports the use of 100 Mhz SDRAM for the buffer.

The Maxtor DualWave implements our third generation ECC code that reduces the probability of doing error recovery. This OTF implementation is guaranteed to correct any 121-bit single burst error, and can correct errors of up to 16 bursts, with decreasing size. By using the dual processor capability, errors of up to 185-bits can be corrected by firmware, four times as fast as other solutions.

Intel better get a move on before the barbie doll starts to run faster than their best.
