Pardon my intrusion, but I've also been searching for some healthy discussion concerning SEBL. Mike, I don't know if you remember, but we chatted a little bit about Siebel/i2/Oracle and front office in general over at The Motley Fool "Gorilla Game" message board a few months ago. Now that Siebel is number one in 'Americas Fastest Growing Companies' I'm certainly ready to chat more. I'm also wondering about the product from Oracle which was due 'late 1999'. Could it be that the year 2000 is a more likely time frame? ;-)

P.S. I hope that I'm not out of line for adding this to the discussion, but a little tidbit that appeared this weekend from the GG listserve which has been referenced here in the last 100 or so posts:

"Gang, Let me just say again that the quality of the discussion on Qualcomm fulfills my best hopes for this discussion group. It continues to be superb and to refine my understanding of a market that was not core to my background. Thanks a ton.

Geoffrey Moore
Chairman, The Chasm Group"

In a nutshell, the same type of discussion has been taking place on that list since April - although with more views from the 'other side'. Rather, the negative exploration of Q as being or not being a Gorilla. I believe Geoff, over the course of the past few months, has expanded his knowledge and opinion on Qualcomm. Probably more due to the fact that Qualcomm is not in his realm of typical 'Valley talk'.
