Richard,

You know, I think that I remembered wrong. I didn't simply copy Windows to another drive. I zipped Windows and stored it. Then I booted to a different disk with another version of Windows on it and from there restored the zipped version to its original disk.

Is this possible? It was a PW schema. It was a poor man's DI and it worked real well. Just some funny stuff happened once when I restored w95 to a spot where w98 had been. I would get the w98 splash screen but w95 would run. ??

Violetta: Sorry for the wrong info. Hope you didn't spend too much time with it.

Thank you Wily,PMS witch and Rich.. You've all been very kind to try and help me even though I didn't give you enough info. I think I'm getting there. The store partitioned the new drive 13G ,and loaded windows 98 by transferring the data, but they didn't transfer any of the other data and left it up to me to format d: drive after creating a new partition. So if I understand correctly , I have to put all the programs in the start menu? Not quite sure how to do it but I think I can figure it out..I'll try anyway. Thanks again
Cheers
Violetta
